An Extraordinary General Meeting is any general meeting held outside the normal AGM cycle. Called when an urgent or material decision can't wait for the next AGM — major repairs, special levy, by-law change, or termination of the strata manager.
Anyone with a quarter of unit entitlements can usually requisition an EGM by written notice to the strata manager, who must then call the meeting within a set time (commonly 14 days). Notice and quorum requirements are the same as for the AGM.
